Hidden Valley Retreat, as the name suggests, is a tiny piece of unspoilt paradise. Set on 30 acres of rolling farmland and native bush, it is the ultimate destination for those seeking rest, romance and relaxation.

It has a truly South Pacific feel to it. The decor and surroundings are all unique to this part of the world. Living in the country keeps you in touch with nature and we have put in a lot of energy to preserve the natural environment.

We have planted hundreds of trees along the river banks to protect from them from erosion and to preserve Raglan's world class harbour. The 100 year old Kahikatea Forest and wetland areas have been fenced so they can rejuvenate and be enjoyed by our next generation.

We use solar power to draw water from natural springs to feed the livestock. Natural products are used for cleaning and washing. Hidden Valley runs on 100% rainwater for its domestic use. We make it easy for guests to recycle (Raglan is known as the recycle capital of New Zealand).
